Outstanding list. How does Queens, despite being a 250, get all the big names bar Federer?

ftr, who do you think will get wildcards?

I always get  when seeing that Queens is only an ATP 250. What a line-up!

Grigor after two year taking a wild card, he is main draw directly :worship:

why nalbandian don't play in grass??
He said he would play there. He'll probably have a WC, last year they offered hilm one but he declined because he was injured. The week after he'll play the Boodles Challenge exho

An Australian will get a WC here as part of the LTA reciprocal agreement with TA. James Ward got a WC in Sydney, so Tomic will probably get one here. Same deal might be struck with an American. I doubt Ward will play, he will probably play Nottingham Challenger with bigger points on offer. Baker might get a Wildcard here, or Evans

Yes, it is interesting that there will be back-to-back Nottingham challengers, with Nottingham-2 being the same week as Queen's. I wonder whether that is the LTA's answer to getting British men more match fit heading into Eastbourne (weaker draw) and Wimbledon qualifying, rather than giving them WCs to be beaten up by the likes of Del Potro, Llodra etc at Queen's Club. It would make more sense, especially as Nottingham-2 is likely to be a weaker draw, with many players inside the top 150 likely to take their chances in Halle/Queen's Club qualifying.

Personally, I'd struggle to justify a Brit getting a WC for Queen's (although it is plausible that up to two opportunities could be given). Boggo's chance has been and gone, and at the moment he is stuck in Futures which is very worrying. Ward is even more volatile this year, and his current ranking is heavily inflated...but as we will probably continue to rely on him for Davis Cup this year, he needs the exposure to tougher matches. Evans is making a comeback but is too powder-puff to make any impact, and much the same for Baker (except the comeback bit). Dan Cox probably deserves a chance as he has moved quietly up the rankings (top 300) and certainly couldn't disappoint any more than the others already have. Probably a year or two too early to throw the likes of George Morgan into top flight matches.

I agree with Santoro Magician - probably one WC for an Australian (Tomic), one for an American (Harrison), maybe two for Brits (Ward and Cox / Evans) and one for a crowd puller (Dustin Brown a prime candidate).

On the Halle website it says Tomic will be playing there. So doubt he will recive a WC here.

This event should definitely be at least a 500 event, what a great line-up.

I second vn01, our top 4 favourites will all be there. :D
