No team can clinch until the 3rd day. That is the beauty of the scoring system where matches on Day 1 are worth 1 point, Day 2 are worth 2 points, and Day 3 are worth 3 points. If one team wins all 8 matches on Day 1 and Day 2 then they would have 12 points and the other team would have to win all 4 matches on Day 3 to level the score at 12-12 and force a deciding match.What happens if there is nothing at stake anymore as early as the second day?
