How does someone who lives in an infamous shithole say anything about the USA ??? You live in a country where women are ****d with impunity, girls are married off at 8, and hundreds of millions don’t have a thing to eat. In the USA , the middle class lives quite well. It’s a bit of a struggle now with high fuel prices and inflation but we’ll dump the current asshole in 3 yrs.

The middle class standard of living in the US is better than just about anywhere else in the world.
lol no it's not. The middle class has got wiped out in the US. Europe has a good life for middle classes.

Median US income is higher than anywhere in Europe apart from Switzerland or Luxembourg. So, you’re wrong.
Pretty much any socialist economy is better for the middle classes than USA. Scandinavian countries like Denmark, Netherlands etc are all better for the middle class. Paid vacation time by law and free healthcare alone trumps anything US has to offer.

Also in the deep Southern states, apart from Florida and Louisiana? I would be wondering if that would be the case.
I mean the median value of those southern states vs Switzerland or Luxembourg.

There’s regional diversity in any large country, for sure. Overall, the data clearly show the middle class in the US is doing quite well, but I agree it’s not uniform across states.

@monfed wrong again. It’s also curious how you continually talk shit about the US but you were desperate to stay when your employer declined to renew your Visa for obvious reasons. Actions speak louder than words.

I dont pine to live in the US. No free healthcare is a deal breaker. And I'm not talking shit, what I said is true thats why the progressives have gained traction and popularity.

Sour grapes. You’ve been open in the past about how upset you were not to be allowed to stay here. As for your claim about the middle class, the data unambiguously says otherwise.

Its not sour grapes because I live in a better country now.

What data is that? I'm not talking about the happily retired boomer generation.

From your flag, am I correct to say that you live in India? Or do you live in another country?

Only mods know where I live and I plan to keep it that way.

I know you live in India. Let me tell you, US is better than India. Is this fact even debatable? Sure, health care is not free in the US, but it is affordable to most people if they have jobs that provide health insurance coverage. If you are college-educated, it is not hard to find such jobs.

When you don't live in the US, you commentary about US in this thread are pointless.

If it's a fact, then how is it debatable?

Your opinion of India is the one you've seen in movies like Slumdog Millionaire so as they say ignorance is bliss.

As I’ve already stated - median income. Literally the definition of “middle class”. It’s higher in the US than anywhere in Europe besides the small countries of Switzerland and Luxembourg.
Give Indians various countries as choices to immigrate to, most Indians pick US as their first choice, and then any other country. I know this for a fact. Take OP's comments with a grain of salt.

It’s also inaccurate to say that health care is expensive for the middle class in the US. It’s extremely expensive for the uninsured, but almost the entire middle class has insurance.

If you don't have a job, you can't get healthcare. Healthcare isn't a privilege, its a right.Only in the US its considered a benefit. Thats like saying you deserve to die if you don't have a job.

Its delusional to say that the entire middle class have jobs let alone good paying ones. Most of the middle class are stuck in low income jobs with no benefits or in gig work like Uber. Thats why socialism is growing in popularity and its also why people like Sanders got so much support.

The boomer generation could retire from one job. Now you can't, companies demand dynamism that is simply unsustainable for the middle class.
