We've had several discussions about accepting Late Picks or not....

On one side it attracts more players to play DTT as the rules aren't as strict as in TT on the other side it's often a nightmare for managers to wait hours and hours for picks... :(

What do you think?

Yes I think we should keep late picks. Doubles matches get moved around too unpredictably and always are less of a priority than singles matches in ATP tournaments that we need to remain flexible.

I think there are 2 definations of late picks.

There should be no late picks allowed after the first match has started.

I think I gotta say no here, most of the time we have more than enough time to get our pick in, having a seperate deadline for each match(which is basically what it amounts to, as each match starts picks not sent for that match becomes invalid) is hard on the manager. Plus when someone doesn't send but can send late for other matches diffs for the singles matches involving the doubles opponents of the people who didn't send often don't(and shouldn't) be posted because that would be an advantage to the person who didn't send in the doubles match.

It's much simplier if you just make the deadline the start of the first match(whenever that starts not the scheduled start)
