Raonic went from 156 to the top 30 in 2011. I imagine it's been done plenty of times before.

He's defending a lot of points over the grass season (455 in total) so I'd imagine he'll stay around the top 40 for a bit longer if he can defend those points. After the grass season though last year he only played 3 events so there are a lot of points to be won. Top 20 seems petty possible by the end of the year.

That's an impressive record. Don't think Delpo one counts though - coming back from injury quite different to making into the top group for first time imo.

Does it have to be "to 30"? Nadal went from 460 to 45 in a year. He hung around a while there before breaking 30, though.
