Martin Klizan continues in his red-hot streak. Today he deserved to win against solid Sergiy Stakhovsky. Tiebreak in the 3rd set was definitely the key, Stakhovsky lost it despite being 5-2 up. Martin Klizan is simply on a roll, he was pressing Stakhovsky a lot, was more creative, dominating with forehand and he was also serving well. Klizan lost his serve only 3 times in a whole match on a clay, had a 70% of his first serves in, which is not typical for him. It was a tough match, but it is clear that Klizan is really promising player for Slovakia and he might be on a top 50 run with performances like this.

Stakhovsky was also serving good, he showed some tricky strikes, he was playing very variable tennis with lot of drop shots. But then, from the 3rd set Stakhovsky fell under pressure of Klizan and started to play only defense which was not enough at the end.
