2 years, and wasn't it nandrolone?

He was a very dangerous player on the faster surfaces...I remember Henman having real problems with him on the grass (and losing, I think).

On February 13, 2006 the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced Beck had tested positive for the steroid clenbuterol during the 2005 Davis Cup semifinal against Argentina. As a consequence, the ITF suspended him from the game for two years until October 31, 2007.

Finally, I though that he would accept that WC into Bratislava CH that the director offered him, but he said no. And now he plays Tunis? :p Strange, but c'mon Karol, get back to the top and even higheer. (although it would be veeeeeeery tough!)

GOOD LUCK!

VELO SCESCE! :p

How old is he now? 30?

Good to see him back. Good fast court player who could hit winners off both wings. Useless on clay.

The timing of his ban was so annoying. Any earlier and Argentina would have made the final, any later and Slovakia would have beaten Croatia.

He's still fairly young.. 25. So he has plenty of time to get his game back, get fit and then work his way back up the rankings...

I never saw this guy play.. any chance someone could give me a short synopsis of his game... :)

I hope he can make a succesful comeback, he seemed to be completely forgotten once he was banned. The drug he testes positive for, clenbuterol, is a potent drug that has a wide range of effects and uses including asthma medication in some countries as well as a diet drug and can have performance-enhancing effects, it would be hard to prove whether he was fully to blame.
