Just wondering.. which players (if any) have won a ATP event on their debut.
I know a few of the women have won the WTA event they debuting in.

- Nicolas Lapentti at Bogota in 1995
- Santiago Ventura at Casablanca in 2004

All 3 players did it as qualifiers.

Amersfoort 2007 was Darcis's 2nd ever appearance at an ATP level event. He first appearance came at that same event in 2006.

Lleyton Hewitt was the big-name player who came the closest to pulling it off. His first ever appearance at a tour level ever came at the Aussie Open in 1997 when he was 15 years old. In his 2nd ever appearance, he had a remarkable run to win his home city title at Adelaide in 1998 at the age of 16.
