Looks like none of these four likes to volley very much.

Peralta is one of the brightest minds in tennis, so I'm sure that this is a brilliant move.

I don't get this.

A. dude got a weak second serve/opponent got a big return. Your partner stay way behind and play D to a neutral rally. But then, if this scenario is true, you open the court for the weak server to be exploited and/or for the returner to have the whole court to hit a winner.

B. Seeb can't CC rally with that opponent(if he was a lefty it'd make more sense. But then again Peralta threatening to jump and hit a volley at the net would probably help Seeb more.

C. Seeb will serve and volley of a wide 2nd serve but he knows the returner can't hit DTL so he runs in a diagonal line to volley a normal cross court shot and Peralta runs to his right side to cover a angled return

Anyways, no strategy makes sense here. Not even some mental edge thing. The returner doesn't even need to think. Go for the doubles real estate either DTL or CC and you are in control of the point. "oh, but seeb got such a great serve!!!" If so, stay at the net to hit easy volleys all day.
