That would be nice to see. Enjoy your retirement, Juan Carlos!

I read something on the Internet that said Juan Carlos had died. What a horrible thing to write!

Tournament Pays Tribute to Juan Carlos Ferrero on Pista Central
25/4/2013

Organizers of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell paid tribute to Spain 's Juan Carlos Ferrero on the Pista Central today after Nicolas Almagro beat fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers. Ferrero, who retired from the sport last year, captured the Barcelona trophy in 2001, beating fellow Spaniard Carlos Moyá.

Ferrero was honored by the tribute and thanked Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell director Albert Costa and Real Club Tenis Barcelona president Albert Agustí, who handed the former World No. 1 an award.

Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell organizers also prepared an emotional video featuring the best moments of Ferrero 's career.

Tennis fans still remember Ferrero 's unforgettable matches at the Real Club Tenis Barcelona 1899, especially in 2001, when he beat former champions Albert Costa and Felix Mantilla on the road to the final. Ferrero played five sets in a hard fought match against Moyá before he lifted the title in front of his home crowd.

World No. 1 for eight weeks in 2003, Ferrero now looks back on an incredible career as professional tennis player. From 1998 to 2012, he captured 18 ATP titles, one Grand Slam title at Roland Garros (2003) and lifted three Davis Cup trophies with Spain.

Once again, Ferrero left the big stage receiving standing ovations!

Thanks for the pic Kat and for the golf goodies in the hot photos thread. His threads are so dead now. It's just nice to see someone keeping up with what he's doing.

Seems he's coaching Almagro now, so we can at least see him in the crowd.
But we'll have to watch Almagro matches.

Is he still at RG? If so, my wish (near impossible) would be for Ferrer to win and JCF to hand out the trophy to him.
