I know this is way old, and a lot of you might have seen it before, but when I saw it I had to post it just in case because it's not something you'll likely ever see again.

Can you imagine someone doing this nowadays? They'd need security to get out of the stadium :p

My favorite Connors moment was when he lectured McEnroe on decorum.

But the wiping out the mark is good too. :)

Connors was such a prick when he played.

Re: Jimmy Connors rubbing out a mark on clay on opponent's side of the court

Yip, that's Jimmy  :rolls:
I know it's wrong but you've still gotta love him :worship:

How did his opponent not flip at him though?

:haha:

Connors behaving like a 5-year old. The umpire looked like a frustrated parent :haha:.

I think Brad Gilbert probably posted this on youtube.
Hahahahaha.

Connors what an arse clown he was, this was a guy that needed to be beaten up in the locker room in his playing days.

wow i cant believe that was not taken more seriously. was he punished at all for that?
Nope ;)

According to Peter Bodo's book The Courts of Babylon (written before Peter went all tabloid and trashy), Jimmy played Vilas in the final and Vilas was a heavy crowd favourite, even though it was in New York.
