What's he lacking?? Besides at least 2 grand slams, currently has 4 (2 AO, 1 W, and 1 USO)... Does he need the FO, does he just need 2-3 more grand slams?? More singles titles overall??

Sinner already has a very strong case for All-Time Greatness. To shut the door on the counterargument he needs 2 more Grand Slam titles (1 if it's the French Open) or one additional year-end no. 1 finish. Having 104+ weeks at #1 (which is the equivalent of 2 years) can also do.

Right, he's done most of it already, but I don't consider him an ATG yet, even Chuck I don't either, but we know he will do it for sure in his career, Sin City, we'll have to wait and see!!

Probably a couple of more slams, especially since he's already been YE #1. He'll get a few more slams for sure but I don't know how well his body will hold up long term since he's pretty tall and lanky.

Time.

He was a point away from holding all 4 Slams. It’s only a matter of time before he has a 3 Slam season IMO and he could easily have 7 Slams by the end of 2026. He basically never loses before the final of tournaments unless he is injured.

I’m also fairly certain he will reach 20 Slams. How many more he wins after that is anyone’s guess.

Well, it seems his ceiling is already coming down. Just a few months ago you had him at 30+ Slams for sure, IIRC. But I can relate to your overall assessment. His game can be really imposing, and as long as Alcaraz is the only real threat at the Slams, his tally could indeed rise quickly, especially if he can conquer those demons. Improving his fitness/endurance in oppressive conditions would also help.

I see Sinner prime ending in 2028. He is far from done, but his physical weakness which cause his dislike for long rallies will be there like Federer. For Sinner he needed to improve one punch game and variety like Federer.

Alcaraz surprisingly is improving much faster and his serve is going Roddick’s trajectory for his height.

I think it's generally accepted that players who won 4 GS titles are ATG, unless some weird circumstances, like having won anything else, never being No1, but that's very unlikely. Can anybody name one tennis player who won 4 GS titles and is not considered ATG.
I think the better and more interesting question would be "What would have to happen that Sinner doesn't end his career as an ATG?"

To my knowledge, there is no definition or official number of GS earned to be designated "ATG," which is even an unofficial term, as "goat"

However, I've often read that, regarding the number of GS, the benchmark is 6.

So, on the field, the limit was Becker and Edberg...but not Vilas or Courier.

It must be said that no one has stopped at 5 (only concerning OE), so Sinner has plenty of time to achieve it, and by this standard, Alcaraz has just achieved this status.
