I figure the "conflict resolution" commercial was a pay-off from the network to Mac. Mac agreed to continue telecasting and the network agreed to let him continue bleating that players, not the referee, should be able to decide when play must be resumed.
(Maybe all this is agreed-upon here, but I'm real new.) And the two main questions that keep returning to my mind to ask Mac, about his tantrums, are: In what sport do players get to decide individual calls? And, why do you think no professional tennis players AFTER you, John, have followed your wonderful example, and argued line calls ad nauseum?
