IW R2: Fat Dave Nalbi squeaks by E. Gulbis, 6-4 4-6 7-6(4)

Wow, that was a lot harder than I expected   . Gulbis served for the match at *5-3 in the third and was broken at love (df included) :smash:. From the sb it looks like a crappy performance from Nalbi but after giving his fans a heart attack he got the win .

Re: IW R1 - Nalbandian def Gulbis 6-4 4-6 7-6(4)

Total points won

David 116
Gulbis 114

Both guys got better as the match progressed, but not good enough from Nalbandian, will have to up his level to beat the sex machine.

IW R2: Nalby def. Ernie 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(4)

Gulbis is not going to sleep well tonight. He served for the match at 5-3 in the third but got broken at either love or 15. Nalby got the minibreak in the tiebreak on the first point and never looked back.

Hopefully Steps puts the hammer down! :)

Gulbis

Gulbis lost the game in 0 when he served for match at 5-3 in the third. Anyone watched the match? How did Nalbandian play?

Who knew Fat Dave was an escape artist?

Seriously, Gulbis had this match on his racket. But when it came time to seal the deal, experience won out. As soon has he was broken, there was only one way this match was going to end. But the fact that he came so close says a lot.

Get on the stick, Nalby!

Noooooooooooooooooooooo  Aaaaaarrrghhhh... he was so close :(

Thumbs up for the overall performance :yeah: But shouldn't have choked at 5*:3 in final set... Gulbis lost that game on love, as far as I remember.
