Well he did have a grueling 3 hour match yesterday, he looked very tired and sweaty, perhaps he had the virus as well.
At least he managed to breadstick the giant. And tenderize him for Nole.

The match played out as expected really, John's weapons pulled him though although they were misfiring for large portions of the match. Simon didn't serve well enough overall. If Simon served better I think he would have won. The night conditions made the court even slower and made it very hard for Isner to consistently play offense without missing but he started playing more strategical offensive tennis in the third set.

Competitive, mediocre quality match. John will play better vs Djokovic.
