fed needs to work on those BPs conversions. This wasn't just aces or winners everytime on BPs, fed was missing some makeable shots... it would have likely won him the match in 2 sets and at worst he should have won it in 3 sets.
Needs this to be fixed. Dom deserved it and was great off the ground kudos to him.
Is this possible to loose two IW finals in a row by idiotic dropshots in last games?
PS. Thiem playes great, ultra-aggressive, not making too many errors
So Federer became passive and that's how he lost.
Federer played mindless tennis and was poor off the ground. He netrushed at horrible times that cost him in the second set when he got broken and again in the third set when he had a chance to break Thiem. Looks like AO 2018 might have been Roger's last big title.
Federer's level dropped throughout the match. First set was good, the rest was very uninspiring from him. Kudos to Thiem for holding on, specially after a the last couple of games of the first set where Roger outplayed him.
Dominic winning his first M1000 on HC though, you can't make that up

So Vatutin continued to play and after he lost the point he asked umpire to check the mark. It was out and the point was awarded to Vatutin.
What makes is interesting is that Brown loses his head like that and complains for a long time - after all he is a trickster himself. Remember this?
Can't find the video but here is an interesting article about the video chat between Roger and Guga in which the Swiss apparently says that:
"he's not motivated to practise at the moment" (unlike Nadal and Djokovic)
"it will be very difficult for him to play big tournament without...
I have a strong feeling Djokovic is going to stick around just as long as Federer and still be in a top 10 position by then.
He takes care of his body very well, does Yoga, stretches and keeps coming back.
He has had minimal injuries and doesn't seem to have any habitual injury, like Nadals...
