I know people talk about rivalries from Chris/Martina and John/Bjorn. However, this to me is the best. The matches are competitive no matter what the score or outcome. Also, Chris/Martina and John/Bjorn both players had to be at their best to be effective. With this one it didn't matter, it was still going to compelling. There is a Ying/Yang about those two sort of like Riddick Bowe and Evander Holyfield. If those were playing playing ping-pong, I would watch or even a interview with those two. You know, it will always be competitive.

Good post. Their dislike for each other combined with their totally different playing styles made for compelling viewing.
I couldn't stand McEnroe but he contributed to the greatest tennis rivalry in my lifetime.
I put it ahead of Borg/McEnroe because it lacked the viciousness and antagonism of the other rivalry.
