nice stat.

how far do your records go back?
With pretty decent database to 1998. There's possibility that some player lost more matches of this kind in the 70's or 80's, in the 90's rather not.

would be good to know how many were actually on their own serve = P
Ljubicic wasted a double match point on serve against Ferreira, don't know about his other matches in 2002.

Isner wasted only 1 of 13 match points this year on serve, it happened in the match against Fish in the Atlanta final.

Another Isner stat: 7 of his 19 defeats this season were 3rd set TBs(and one was a 7-9 5th loss)...so 8 of his 19 losses were either holding a match point or losing in a FS TB lol

Amazing stat. In the case of Ljubicic the struggles of 2002 to close out matches was a prelude to the best years of his career where he became an OLY medalist, Davis Cup hero and top 5 player. I wonder if Isner can also achieve similarly in the next 2-3 years. But thanks for posting this very interesting information Voo.

What a player this Berdych. Saving match point on Federer's own serve. Legend! :worship:
