Yes, his general solid form. Not 2008 AO or anything. I mean obviously he is garbage right now but just looking at Tsonga from a few years ago and looking at the field today, I just wish he wasn't having a bad year.
2011 Wimbledon Tsonga vs current field would be No.1 favorit at Wimbledon no matter the draw, but we have now Olderer, Nole and 2014 Murray - Nadal is not even important to mention here, Tsonga in 2014 form is also joke, Berdych ends up as being biggest favorit for title unless he faces Novak he could win
Just watched Tsonga Nadal highlights and damn he was hitting GOAT volleys... Would be perfect on grass, hed probably win Wimbledon without dropping a set. Shame though that his peak seemed to last like 1 slam, maybe if he won the final things would be different but as it stands we can only think "what if"
A thrilling match and a turning point in Federer's career. He went into the season-ending tournament as the Wimbledon champ and with a very slim chance of finishing the year as #1. But he was drawn in a very tough group stacked with bogey players: Agassi (against whom he had a 0-3 H2H)...
Steve Fink: "Who is the best player, not just on record but on ability?"
Pat Cash: "𝐃𝐣𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜, he's a freak, he beats other 2 on their best surfaces. Hard to go passed the reality of head to head wins. At his best he's unstoppable."
I've met Pat. Great guy.
Played one set singles with my...
Sitting here w/ no live tennis, just happened to catch highlights of their match on AO classics show & pretty entertaining esp. the 4th set TB w/ Nadal’s lefty FH still evolving & pro Aussie crowd clearly flustering Nadal which is opposite of what happens today. Funny to see not only the green...
We were looking for that great QF. Federer needed to beat Tommy Robredo (LOL) and the in-form Nadal needed to beat Kohlschreiber.
But it wasnt meant to be as Tommy Robredo ate Roger Federer alive.
Where does this rank?
