The winner of the Quarter Tsonga Vs. Youzhny?

I really never expected to see Mikhail reaching Semi finals of a Grand Slam so soon, and even less from Tsonga, however the last one have been playing flawless lately..

Youzhny not really a suprise for me well i expected him to at least reach the 4th round he has a good ranking(he will b 8th at end of the tournament i think) and won chennai leading up to the tournament. Tsonga is a suprise for me didn't expect him to get this far and he has been playing well.

What do you mean, Youzhny reaching a semi of a slam so soon? He has reached the semi final of the US Open in 2006 and he is not that far from 26.

The only surprise with Youzhny was how easy he beat Davydenko. I pretty much expected him to go deep here.

I was surprised that Tsonga was able to beat Murray and get so deep in the tournament though.

Tsonga? Definitely, even though he played well against Murray, I didn't expect him to back it up so solidly.
Youzhny? Not at all. He was a lock for the 4th round. His match against Davydenko was difficult to predict but that's mainly because of the H2H and not Mischa's inability to beat him.

I was not surprised to see Jo beat Murray, but I was surprised in the way Richie, but that had a lot to do with Roddick-style defense Richard was playing. It's always refreshing to see someone new break through.

Not really for Youzhny since his side of the draw only consists of one major obstacle:Davydenko. As for Tsonga, once he got rid of Murray, the path isn't exactly thorny.

I can see J-W Tsonga in the top 20 this year, no doubt. He's the dark horse that Murray could have been. With his confidence and enthusiasm he could go really far in many tournaments this year.

Or it might just be an AO thing, like we saw for Gonzalez and Baghdatis in the last 2 years.
