Slavery is thriving in Libya, where thousands of black Africans hoping to get to Europe instead find themselves bought and sold, forced to work for nothing, and facing torture at the hands of their owners.

Buzzfeed conveniently fails to acknowledge the authors of this so I guess I should:

Thanks Obama and Hillary, you did a great bringing regime change in Lybia :yeah:

From your link

“In Sabha, every black man is a target.”

“We black in Libya — we’re money to Arabs. The minute they get us, they can sell us.”

“If they are coming, just run. Run for your life.

It's sad but it's well known. People take all sorts of risks to move to Europe and other places, and the reason they keep doing it is that a few people who made the move were successful, so it's easy to look at those that made it ad ignore the many that did not, of which many died.

There's a Greek NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, his parents were Nigerian illegal immigrants in Greece. For a long time, they (including their kids) were living in Greece as undocumented people, but once scouts realized he was great at basketball, everything changed, he got his citizenship and he's a national icon. These are examples why people take those life risks.

Clearly, that logic is flawed, but it's a game of risks for many. And admittedly, it's not easy over here, the standard of living of a poor person in a developed country is much better than being poor over here. So many feel like they have nothing to lose

Ah, Obama and Hillary............

Yes folks, this Libyan outrage has nothing at all do do with the religion-based culture of the region.
