I just find it odd, cos each year IMG give a wild card to one of its players cos they are a sponsor of the Indian Wells tournament...and they usually give it to the younger and up and coming players....
I was a bit surprised that Sharapova got a wc again and Richard didn't, but if he wins the challenger this week it will be good for his ranking. Perhaps better then risking to lose in the 1st round of a TMS.

A young French tennis player (20 years old). He is left handed with a two handed backhand. He is currently ranked #99 in the ATP ranking. He has played Futures, CHs, and was even in the US Open this year (2018).
