Unfortunately for Sinner, he seems to bring the best ouf of Alcaraz. The Spaniard was not great in the first set but just was unplayable in the second.

Sinner is a great player but so far lacks the mental sharpness that makes the legendary players. I hope that he is a "late bloomer" in that department.

Alcaraz is an incredible player. The favorite tomorrow.

That was an unbelievable display from Alcaraz.

Grace on dropshots and slices. Unbelievable lobs.
Net play done smart with a few errors of course.
Lightning forehands, devastating passing shots. Not yet at the top spin levels of Nadal, but getting really good.
Agility in covering the entire court, give it 2 more years of practice and that will be as good as Novak's.

Un poco de todo, as he wrote on the camera.

Neither player at their absolute best but Alcaraz just has way more dimensions to his game (and really most players we've ever seen) than Sinner does .

Alcaraz's forehand was nowhere to be seen in the 1st set and he still won that comfortably.

Alcaraz was pretty average in set 1 and was somewhat lucky you might say to win it as Sinner looked very good. However in set 2 Alcaraz basically went into a whole other level the dropshots the lobs my oh my otherworldly stuff. This kid is special... haters buckle up your going to be in for a rough 10 years or so! 🔥🔥

Luckily for Alcaraz the court plays like clay so he should be the favorite against Med. Otherwise, Med would routine him.
How can someone be so wrong with so few words. Impressive.
