Don't know what happened in the first set, but Robby struggled mightily on serve, served at 47%, won 41% of service points. He turned everything around in the second set, leading *5-1 30-15, but then faltered and had to save break point at *5-3 30-40 second serve, almost blowing his big lead. He was serving in the mid 60s serve percentage for most of the second set but ended up at 50%.

Ginepri had two break points at the start of the third set to open with a break but didn't take them, and was broken to 15 immediately to fall behind 0-*2. He then needed three break points but finally broke to get back on serve. He immediately then fell behind 0-30 and saved a break point in a long game to hold for 2 all. After two comfortable holds for each, Robby broke to love for a *4-3 lead and finished off the match without any more drama.

Topsy-turvy match, but Robby got the job done and took advantage of his draw. Any win is a good one for Robby to get his groove back from being out for such a long time with injuries.

He's competing better since he's returned from injury, that's the most important thing. As long as he continues to work hard and believe in himself and his ability, good things will eventually happen once he regains his match sharpness.

Wawrinka is very winnable since Stan hasn't been playing great. Now is the opportunity to put himself back on the map as a player on a big stage.

how on heart can he struggle like this against Lorenzi... Wawrinka will double bagel him in the next.

Wawrinka very winnable given current Ginepri's form? I just can't see it.

Robby's gotten up for matches like this in the past and I know he can do it again. It isn't a scary match for Robby, it's the type of match he'll know he can win if he plays well.

Yea, Stan's been playing real awful lately:
SF in Acapulco
SF in Buenos Aires
R32 in Melbourne
QF in Chennai

Only real disappointment was Davis Cup. So yea TERRIBLE year so far

Stop being a defensive ass fan. Anyone can look at the way Stan has been playing and realize he isn't at his best. Eye test.

barely scraping through Lorenzi on hard doesn't bode well for a future matches...that's just a cold logical fact
