Another crazy match, really. Haase broke to start the third set and was immediately rebroken. Haase then fell behind 15-30 at 2 all but held, and broke Andujar to 15 for a *3-2 lead. He won a long deuce game at 3-2 and had 40-*15 at 4-2 to go up two breaks, and didn't hold, Andujar hit two aces to come back in the game. Haase was up 30-0 at *4-3 and was broken, then Andujar was up 30-0 at 4 all and got broken. Haase was broken to love serving for the match at *5-4.
In the tiebreak, Haase had a *1-0 lead after Andujar double faulted, and lost six straight points. Extremely topsy-turvy match yet again in Indian Wells and Haase is a huge choker as always.
It's definitely better as I'm not making mistakes on the scores and winners/losers of the threads!
Back on topic here, though, for Haase to be up three times with a break in the third against Andujar on a hard court and lose is pathetic. Haase's results on hard court overall haven't been that impressive really. He needs to win matches like this.
Incredible how muggy Haase has become. In 2011 he was improving until his title in Kitzbuhel. Then two very close losses in Winston Salem against Benneteau and at USO against Murray. Since that he's 5-10 with 5 wins against mugs like Paukku Mesaros or Wachiramanowong.
