it will be no longer than 2 months that nadal will be no.1, because last year federer had 2 early exits during the spring american hard court season, because of canas, and he will gain many points this year after indian wells and miami.
anyway, i think nadal deserves to be remembered as a no. 1 player in the tennis' history books, he made a lot for the game.
but federer deserves his achivements during the past 4 years, luck is out of the question, i'd say. if you love nadal, you can retain yourself from calling federer names, as much as if you love fed you cannot call rafa a pig.
it's too much out of tennis' phylosophy...
