If Djokovic wins 3rd Wimbledon in 2015, would Grass become his second favourite surfa

Djokovic doesn't really care what surface he plays on.

And by the variety of the court speed these days, grass is just another word for green.

There's no such thing as grass anymore. Just green clay.

Since Nadaltards still claim that Ralph is better than Nole on grass with both have 2 titles since 08 is the highest level created and beats any level that Nole has ever produced, even 2011, I imagine it will be quite a shock for them when Nole has more Wimbys than him. What are your thoughts on that, Piledriver, brand new thread incoming?

But to answer your question, No, clay will always be his second best surface even though he's won more Wimbys although an argument could be made now that he has an improved first serve.

Djokovic is not as great a clay court player as people suggest. He's good on the surface because he's good everywhere, but the bounce on clay isn't like ideal for his game. Clay is a surface that results in much fewer upsets and Djokovic is really consistent so obviously most players would rather play him on grass where there is more variance and a ball basher playing at 150% always has a chance. He lost to fucking Kohlschrieber and Melzer in 2009 and 2010, then Olderer in 2011 when he was in his historic run at Roland Garros.

Nope. He got better results because he faced the clay goat and a weak grass era. If he had played in 90's with an awful clay field and facing Sampras, Ivanisevic, Becker, etc. on grass it'd be the other way around.

Djokovic is crap on grass. Having 3 wimbledons is a travesty.

Most players have no chance against him on Clay than on grass.

He peak when Fed was declining, Nadal was still there to stop him on clay.

However pretty sure Murray will stop his 3rd wimby.

grass is slower but not to the degree you claim

I do think that Novak (and even Nadal to an extent) have better stats on grass than they should considering everything- definitely a lack of great grass court players in the last decade or so. the real issue is the LACK of grass tournaments in general- you don't have players training and practicing on it when younger because A) it's difficult and expensive to maintain grass courts and B) so few tournaments exist that ARE grass that players growing up don't have much concern mastering the service

sure we still have successful big servers now and then at Wimbledon but no specialists. I don't even necessarily think its a lack of players who have the game for it, but more a lack of players who dedicate themselves to the surface. I see no reason a Cilic wouldn't be great on grass except for maybe that he never has trained enough or focused enough on the surface. him among other players

the grass still has low bounce, skids, benefits big servers- its only dirt like around the baseline towards the latter stages of Wimbledon. bringing in maybe a Master's 1000 on grass would help the surface become more significant again and create better competition

when a Djokovic or Nadal can just grind through 'fast' tournaments like that then it speaks volumes about the surfaces's specialists and appreciation on tour

You can't be crap on grass having made 3 finals at Wimbledon and won two. Be serious and wake up. Some of you biased tennis tards have zero balance and intelligence in your thinking.

Some people have no idea.
If Djoker wins this thing this year, he joins an elite group of triple Wimbledon champions - including his own coach.
Of course it then becomes his 2nd best surface.

All I know is that it will be utterly INSANE for him to have 3 Wimbledons and not a single RG. It's insane even with two.

Favourite? Ask him, but he may lie, e.g. Murray once said clay was his favourite surface.
Successful? Yes.
Level of play? No.
