So many say surfaces are homogenized these days. I've never believed that was the case.

Grass is still grass and continues to display the unpredictable beauty of the game we all love again and again.

Sheer stamina and grinding will not win you a match on the original surface of tennis when an opponent is playing superb.

It requires a mastering of all arts and facets of the game.

I have no hate for Rafa but yet again I find solace in the fact that ability (even in a one off) can beat relentless grinding in a tennis match.

Every true tennis fan should appreciate the difference grass provides and what it does for the game.

It's still the original and the best!
