i want to start playing in futures how do i start, and how do i get a profile page on the ATP website
Are you better than Xristos?
Don't worry, you don't have to answer that question. Seriously, who have you beaten in the last six months? If the answer is 'no one' or 'no one who is ranked' than don't even think of playing in Futures because you will get your ass kicked. Play some local tournaments (juniors, opens, whatever) then try some Futures events.
You will not get a profile on the ATP Website until you win matches and earn points. Read this:
http://www.itftennis.com/mens/startingout/
then read all the pages linked on the left side. That's a good place to start.
Good luck. :wavey:
Edit:
i plan on playing futures in canada and northern usa
my goals in tennis are:
1) get a profile page on the ATP site
2) play main draw in a futures event
3) get a ATP ranking point/and have a ranking
Yeah, you need to rearrange these in a hurry...
1) Get into a qualifying draw and win three matches
2) Win a main draw match
3) Get a ranking point, maybe even 200 of them.
4) Get a profile page when the ATP gets around to updating it (usually once a year for the lower ranked guys, and maybe they'll put your photo up there after five years or so).
