...but I'm intrigued by his wins over Federer and Nadal. Can anyone enlighten me on this game? Origins? Temperment?

So do I! :p
I just watch his one match against Nadal. :aplot: His game is comprehensive imo, :bigclap: but even only with his main weapons service and FH can beat players too. ;)

I never posted on this forum before so HI :wavey:

All I can say is that when I saw him playing this year during Davis Cup 1st round here in Buenos Aires I was in the crowd thinking "what the hell does he eat to have that power?"
Tennis magazines and newspapers here all said "a lot of power, and an amazing talent, we're going to see great things about this kid" (I guess they were right ;) )

I have a really BIG doubt because I can speak spanish, english, italian and some french and portuguese but I can't understand a single czech word. Could someone tell me the right pronunciation of his full name? thanks in advance

Hi Atenea! :wavey: nice to meet you :)

well, as I'm a Czech I will try to explain it to you

Tomáš ... you say a long "A" and instead š you say "sh"
Berdych ... yeah this needs everyone because nobody knows how to read it correctly, umm...in Czech you say CH like J in Spanish, for example "trabajo" => we would say "[trabacho]"
I hope you understand now ;)

Grenouille, I know about Interlaken's website for Tomas ... it is really nice, and I also have one, in Czech and ENglish
that's what I know

In spanish is Tomás but since everyone on TV pronounces his name like in english I really didn't know where to put the accent.
THANKS!!! :worship:

I don't know if it's good to put it here but I decided to make a clip for you...because since you're Tomas's fans you should know how to spell his name, right? :)
so a little gift for you ... :bdaycake:

:worship: Lenka :worship: since you told me how to pronounce his name, I always do it right, and I get mad with the tv commentators 'cause they don't! I used to do that with Richard Gasquet too (I still do it), 'cause everyone pronounces his name like in english :(
my mum thinks I'm insane because I scream at the tv
