yeah i am proud of him too. Initially nobody was betting one single buck for him. And he has finished putting under doubts up to the last minute the qualification to the semi-finals of the world number one .
¡Bien hecho Alberto! You can let satisfied Shanghai :)

Yes, congrats Albert! I hope he now rests his back and spends some time in the sun. He did himself proud this week! I'm proud to be a fan!

Although I thought before the Masters Cup that Costa was gonna be the weakest in the tournament, I think that I was wrong and he tried his best during the whole tournament, and even beated Marat.
So, he must be proud of himself. He was almost in semifinals.

Great job Albert!
I remember not so long ago I had to dig many stats from his carreer to prove people he was no damn fluke on RG. Well, anyway... He played some very good matches, a lot better than I could expect. Great end of season. :)

Btw, I love your signature, Andromeda! ;)

Costa is a first class player. He whipped the competition in Paris. Thus his Roland Garros championship was no fluke. And now he's proven he can play with the best players indoors. Congrats to Costa. But why can't he win the French again? I think he can!

I don't think that Costa will defend next year, the cat ;)

But CAN he? I would think that if he can beat Guga, Corretja and Ferrero, that he can surely win again. I just dont' think the cards will be in his favour next year *wishful thinking at play here*

Anyhow - I never felt his Roland Garros was a fluke - it was a surprise, but only because he had underachieved there for so long. I had a feeling before the finals he would win, as much as it killed me to say so

funny, because i had a feeling about costa after he came through mental nightmare 1st round match against Gasquet, where he lost the first set. i think he really steeled himself to come out firing in every match after that.
