I've always felt one of the best ways to figure out how much a player has declined is to imagine how he'd go against his peak self.

2011 Novak(peak) would beat 2015 Novak in 4 sets everywhere I think. Something like 6-3 3-6 7-6 6-2
2008 Nadal vs current Nadal would be hilarious. Straight set beatdown : 6-1 6-2 6-2
2006 Federer vs 2015 Federer - I expect the current version would sneak a set on the serve alone. The rest of his game is no match, however. Something like 6-1 6-7 6-3 6-3

Djokovic and Nadal not close. Because they don't really play any differently, just a bit worse. Would not be close at all. Djokovic's match would be like 6-2 6-4 6-4, Nadal would be a beatdown like 6-0 6-3 6-1 or something.

Federer still has the odd day he rolls back the years and plays at about the level of his old self. If they played ten times he might sneak a win of the 6-4 7-6 7-6 variety. But normally I'd say '06 Fed like 7-6 6-3 6-4

Couldn't agree more. Misery, the current state of the ATP. This Djokovic can pull out an even better season than 2011 while his 2011 version was much much better than this 2015 Djokovic.
One could think the big4 domination was bad for tennis, but everyone sucking is even worse.

Djokovic stated week ago that he's at the peak Of his abilities while MTF trools are trying to fool somebody that Nole was better in 2011:haha::haha::haha:

Those Federer fans are smelling danger from Djokovic who has a decent chances of surpassing Fed's records.

Fedaltartds are the biggest hypocrites in the whole world :rolls: When Federer won 12 Slams during joke 03-07 era it was good, when Nadal won 9 RG vs desperate clay field with no decent clay specialists it was good, but when Djokovic is dominating suddenly it becomes a problem for them:spit::haha: Djoko demolished peak Nadal and near peak Federer in 2011 like no other, he proved that when he's playing at his best level nobody can consistenly beat him. No wonder that in 2015 Novak with better serve and withouth chocking dominates tennis setting new records like 5th AO title and becoming the first player to win IW-Miami-Monte-Carlo in a row:wavey:

Any champion is vulnerable vs servebots like Karlovic or Federer on their good day, epsecially at tier-3 events like Doha or Dubai where best players doesn't put much efforts.

Im a Roger fan, and I don't care that Novak won 5 Australian Open titles or won MC, in face im happy for the guy. His going through what Roger was around 2005-2008 where he was winning everything but couldn't pull of the French open. I really think 2013 was his but one small mistake cost him. Obviously ill be pulling for Roger in every event his in but if Roger doesn't win the French Open (I still have faith, don't judge me) then I hope Novak can get rid of the pressure he feels at the French and finally win it. It be good for tennis.

By definition peak version will beat the current version provided the current version aint the peak which is what it seems today.

So here are the results

Peak Nole beats 7-6:4-6:7-6 current Nole.
Peak Rafa beats 6-1:6-2 current Rafa.
Peak Fed beats 7-6:6-7:7-6 current Fed.

Listed in order of abilities highest level of peaks relative to each other.

It's impossible to say. Mentally is one of the biggest things that contribute in tennis. If a players playing their younger and better self I think they'd be rather confused . When it comes to form though I reckon it'd be something like this.
On a good day though Federer brings glimpses of his peak. As for Djokovic he is still only 27. When playing his very best I reckon he could beat his 2011 self. As for dull though :haha:, All hope is lost...
