well there are people who say WTF is relevant in GOAT discussion because of Frauderer achievement but they do not want to include Master's 1000 and olympics. Like the other thread with respect to WTF relevancy to GOAT what do you think of Masters's 1000.

Also master is best of 3 like WTF and it is also a knockout tournament with lot more players in participation across different courts. WTf is just an exhibition reserved to showcase top 8 players wth round robin bullshit and played indoor.

And you can win a masters 1000 without playing top 8 players. With the WTF you do not have such luxury.

Of course "Fraud" has dominated WTF so it can't be that important. "Dull" has dominated the masters and won the Olympics so they must be the most important events in the world after the slams.

This is pure fanatic logic

Here is the level of relevancy:

Wimbledon and grass tournaments >>>>> Other 3 Slams >>>>> World Tour Finals >>>>> Masters 1000

You can't get away from the fact that tennis was meant to be played on grass courts and that tournaments held on other surfaces are automatically inferior. Unfortunately there are no Masters 1000 on grass, but if there were some maybe those tournaments would become more relevant to GOAT discussions.

so on the basis of your inferior logic I must say that tennis is meant to be an outdoor sport so WTF with the RoundRobin thing created for exhibition then becomes inferior to Masters 1000 and Olympics. So a GRASS masters would have elevated the relevancy of Masters 1000 but in the absences it is not..complete joke!!

Indoor courts play more like grass than outdoor HC or clay, so you could make an argument for Paris being in the same tier as WTF, I suppose...

Who the fuck decided that tennis is meant to be only an outdoor sport.
Anyway even Masters 1000 title have relevance in the goat discussion but less than slams and WTF.

It's next relevant thing after Tour Finals. Very relevant for sure. But still Nadal has the unfair advantage, cause of the surfaces being over homogenized.
its not his fault and look up the speed of all GS and it varies hugely still. Don't blame it on homogenized surface for all you know is that Fed is the product of homogenized court as well. He hasn't come won in a different court than Nadal or Djokovic has won. The courts were slowed in 2002 so don't just say that Nadal has an unfair advantage when all the players are playing in the same court.

Slams > WTFs > Masters 1000.

Interesting that you didn't include the WTFs in the poll.

6 hardcourt MS. Why Frauderer didn't win then? BS.
But that's isn't Fed's favorite surface. Fed favourite surface is grass, a surface which he was very dominant on, from from 2003-2009, he only lost 1 match on that surface

Pretty much irrelevant. Weeks at no.1, Slams and WTF are much more important.

Masters could determine who's the GOAT, only if the above 3 achievements were similar for GOAT contenders.

What people seem to forget is that the importance varies depending on eras.. in Lendl era wtf was quite important.... the same as many atp players skiped Australia. Nowadays due to bigger physical demand on the game many people dont look after the WTF, it seems to have been in the decline in terms of importance since it reached its peak in 80's. With master is the other way around.. they have gained way more importance in the last decades, specially since second halve of 90's.

So its

1)slams
2)weeks ar n1 and years ended as #1

3)Then come the rest... such as wtf, olympics, m1000, and the title count

winning streaks, number of slam finals, winning % and h2h are to be taken in consideration aswell.
