I guess he would have won at least 26 by this time.

What's your take?

It will +2 or +1 of now.

Federer only stopped Nadal in 2 slams.

Fed would have 26 slams now if not for Nadal. Because of Nadal's existence, Federer didn't want to progress fully in some slams.

You mean federer was afraid of losing and didn't want to progress in some slams?

Probably true, thats the reason we haven't seen another match after wimbledon 2008. He wanted to protect his grass dominance. Also true about US Open where they never met.
I truly believe he escaped Nadal last year by losing to Robredo, knowing Nadal's super form on hard courts in 2013.

I guess... one or two? Nadal never had many problems with Federer at slams unfortunately... after Nadal peaked I think it's something like 6-0 at slams, so...

You could argue he'd have more WTF titles.

The easier draws that federer got would have changed and the entire competition would have been balanced, if federer were not there.

There was an aura between 2004 to 2007, and federer could have influenced draws as he was kind of dictating tennis during that period.

26?! lol, you know that fed beat dull only twice at slams?!

with dull it's different. he doesn't lose to the same player again and again like fed. he beats everybody at rg, but suffered gs-defeats (since he won his 1st slam rg 2005) against:

2005
Wimbledon vs Müller, USO vs. Blake
2006
Wimbledon vs Federer, USO vs. Youzhny
2007
AO vs Gonzalez, Wimbledon vs Federer, USO vs. Ferrer
2008
AO vs Tsonga, USO vs. Murphy
2009
RG vs Soderking, USO vs. Del GOATro
2010
AO vs. Murphy
2011
AO vs. Ferrer, Wimbledon vs. Chokovic, USO vs. Chokovic
2012
AO vs. Chokovic, Wimbledon vs. Rosol
2013
Wimbledon vs. Darcis
2014
AO vs. Wawrinka

while fed only lost against dull (6x) , chokovic (1x) and GOATro (1x) from rg 2005 - ao 2010.

He would have a few more Wimbledons and years at #1. Maybe a YEC.

Yes definitely, Feddy chickened out in some slams.

If it is Murray and Djokovic in the draw, u'll see him try to enter the final. Have to take away 2013 wimbledon on exception because he's really injured with his back.

much less than he has now.

Federer gifted him 6 slams.

-Fed beat Dull's achilles heel Davydenko in 2007 RG SF. Davy woulda pimpsmacked that hoe if Fed wasnt around.
-Fed barely beat Gonzalez in the QF of RG 2008 and we all know Gonzalez had the game to beat Dull in the finals that year. Gonzalez beat Rafa several times and was not afraid of him.
-Fed saved Rafa from Novak 2.0 at 2011 RG.
-Nalbandian winning against Fed in the SF of RG 2006, but was forced to retire. He would have finished the job against Dull.
- AO 2009 again Fed beating 2 of Dull's achilles heels, Del Po in QF and Roddick in the SF.
-WM 2008 Fed beating Soderling, Hewitt and Safin on his way to the finals. All opponents that would have roasted Piggy, because his topsin doesnt hurt their backhand.

if this would be the truth, he would've lost against murphy ao 2014 or chokovic rg 2011.

He felt he was good enough in this 2 competitions, 1 with the faster balls and 1 with the new net play technique, but alas proven wrong again.

Of course he will try to play every match with integrity, but i feel he try to save on his health too much. Surely its frustrating if your next round is sure lose on the match + health no matter how much you fight.

He wasn't good enough on AO13 and USO12.

At that times nobody in the tour can extend a Federer match beyond 3 sets except for Nadal. World no.3 to no.100 would have been routined same result.

Nadal wasn't a force outside RG back then. The draw wouldn't have a big effect. He didn't win his half of the draw.

Nadal without Federer:

Would have won Wimbledon 2006.
Would have won Wimbledon 2007.
Could have lost RG 2011.
