Last year, we have witness one of the biggest and shocking fortnight of tennis for a while, as so many seeds -- with the former champions who exited in the 1st and 2nd Rounds -- and Walkovers, Retirements and the likes, do you think that 2014 would top it or would it be stabilized this year? Do I dare say, we might have a number of shockers this year as 2014 have been more inconsistent than 2013? With the Big Four in worse condition than last year (except probably for Federer) how many do you think won't even reach the Semis?

Poll Question: How many seeds would exit before the 3rd Round?

18 Fernando Verdasco lost to Marinko Matosevic RND 1
25 Andreas Seppi lost to Leonardo Mayer RND 1
28 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez lost to Dusan Lajovic RND 1
29 Ivo Karlovic lost to Frank Dancevic RND 1
31 Vasek Pospisil lost to Robin Haase RND 1
32 Dmitry Tursunov lost to Denis Istomin RND 1
Only 6 seeds were upset during the 1st Round, all of which were not in the Top 16, and only one in the Top 24. With Wednesday having the memories of last year, of that wacky day wonder if we could expect something eerie happening today...

Usually all seeds but 1 fall at wimbledon. Although it has happened that all seed fall. Adding the word 'early' or words 'early rounds' may have helped the title.

Code:
7	David Ferrer	lost to	Andrey Kuznetsov	RND 2
12	Ernests Gulbis	lost to	Sergiy Stakhovsky	RND 2
13	Richard Gasquet	lost to	Nick Kyrgios	RND 2
18	Fernando Verdasco	lost to	Marinko Matosevic	RND 1
22	Philipp Kohlschreiber	lost to	Simone Bolelli	RND 2
24	Gael Monfils	lost to	Jiri Vesely	RND 2
25	Andreas Seppi	lost to	Leonardo Mayer	RND 1
28	Guillermo Garcia-Lopez	lost to	Dusan Lajovic	RND 1
29	Ivo Karlovic	lost to	Frank Dancevic	RND 1
31	Vasek Pospisil	lost to	Robin Haase	RND 1
32	Dmitry Tursunov	lost to	Denis Istomin	RND 1
11 were eliminated before 3rd Round...probably the usual amount of upsets, I guess. Still have JJ vs. Hewitt, Lopez vs. Pavic and Granollers vs. Giraldo who were delayed.

Code:
 3. Roger Federer (Second round)
 5. Rafael Nadal (First round)
 6. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (Second round, retired because of a left knee injury)
10. Marin Čilić (Second round, withdrew because of a left knee injury)
11. Stanislas Wawrinka (First round)
14. Janko Tipsarević (First round)
16. Philipp Kohlschreiber (First round, retired because of fatigue)
17. Milos Raonic (Second round)
18. John Isner (Second round, retired because of a left knee injury)
19. Gilles Simon (First round)
21. Sam Querrey (First round)
29. Grigor Dimitrov (Second round)
30. Fabio Fognini (First round)
31. Julien Benneteau (Second round)
It doesn't seem far off from the number of upsets before 3rd Round last year, which was 14.
