Ivo Karlovic has few points to defend over the first few months of
08 adding that to the DA into the masters and the potential to better his first GS round exits could put him even higher in the rankings.

Re: How high can Dr 1Dimension go in 2008

he is due for a breakthrough at a slam. now that he is seeded, he is much less likely to have his patented first/second round losses. I think he will peak just outside the top 10 after wimbledon, then plateau or slightly drop the rest of the year.

a lot of his optionals will fall off because of the masters DA and outdoor hardcourt tournaments are Ivos weakest

from a Tommy fan :wavey: understood :) Did you see the underhand ace Ivo did against Tommy in Stockholm :) priceless :worship:
:wavey: I know Ivo's serve is the best in the game, but I don't like the players that all their tennis is about the serve (Like Ivo, Isner..)
I didn't see Tommy's match against him this year..

I didn't expect it to be SO good . He is No.14 at the moment and could easily slip into the top ten!
Really? I don't think so.

He has a decent amount of points to defend in the next three weeks, so he will probably drop in the rankings.

He is 25th in the ATP Race (season-to-date results), I think that's a more representative metric.

Looking at his most recent results it doesn't look like he is at his best at the moment.
