There are at least 20 players who can beat current Djokovic at Wimbledon on a good day.
Djokovic is still in good shape to reach and win the Wimbledon final. Apart from Federer, all other threats are not really big now. Querrey declined, Isner not relevant that much, Opelka struggling with his serving, NextGen and Thiem unprepared for playing better on grass.
Not claiming that he is that of a favorite like Nadal at RG, but he clearly doesn't have so many rivals on grass. Apart from the Anderson match, I do not remember any player when he seriously struggled to win (injury years 2016-17 do not count here) after 2013.

No matter what, one of those 20 isn't humbleito, who will be knocked out sooner by some mediocre journeyman as is custom.

Djokovic’s priority is no longer #1. If it was he would have competed in Miami and Madrid and even Dubai. (He has one atp500 less in his ranking points breakdown compared to Medvedev)

Djokovic is focussing on slam count now.
Yes but if the race to number 1 is very close, he will knuckle down for a couple of additional tournaments to secure number 1.

328 weeks at #1 now assured for Novak. He'll be seeded #1 at Wimbledon.

Novak can add a lot of points at RG. We'll see soon if he does.

Medvedev did better than almost anyone expected so kudos to him. If he can do a similar magic trick on grass he may capture the no. 1 for a few weeks. And yes he has not won a slam, but he has been in two finals, won a lot of Masters 1000s, and won the YE championship so if he gets to no. 1 he deserves it IMO.

By the way, to all those who say it is only about the slam wins, certainly the point system would say otherwise.

Still he has a lot to lose at wimby and with his serve med will be in the 2nd week

If anything, it's almost NID that Med will take the #1 after wimby

If Djokovic wins FO he’ll be 2000 points ahead, not sure how it’s so NID for Medvedev. But then again for months I’ve been reading the same here and still hasn’t happened..

Medvedev defends so many points in the second half of the season (around 7000) that even if he did get to #1 after Wimbledon, Novak would likely reclaim it very quickly.

True. But we actually can see a situation where #1 changes every week and it's fascinating.

Yes Medvedev had his best chance this week, now much more pressure for Medvedev to do something at Wimbledon to get to #1

Djokovic now needs to do as much as he can in RG to stretch that lead

What about the points of Halle that Medvedev will play next week?
Will he get closer to Djokovic if he gains some points there?
