Lopez's key failure was service rate. Served at 38% for the match, winning only 52% of first serve points and 48% of 2nd serve pts. Second set, Lopez increased the 1st serve rate from a lousy 32% in set 1 to 53% but only won 57% of first serves and a measly 16% of second serve points.
