it was djokovic who first lost serve in the second set. now jankovic just lost serve. fish/serena win 7/6,6/2. djokovic/jankovic lead 4-1 in the first set.

Given Jankovic's leg problem and Djoko working overtime to compensate in their mixed matches, I think Nole has probably had more of a workout this week than he bargained for.

Have enjoyed watching this week but the final had pretty poor quality matches.

Singles - Djoko looked to be walking it in the first set but then unaccountably lost himself in the second and barely scraped through in the third. Tons of errors from both. If he'd been playing anyone better than Fish he'd have got slaughtered. Not optimistic about his chances if he plays like this in the AO.

MD - first set competitive but second an anti-climax.

Djoko looked pretty knackered at the end - am beginning to think he really is physically fragile.

Agree all round. Don't doubt they had fun but really hope they don't both end up regretting this week.

Serena's serve was generally great after being broken early. She aced Nole at least twice, from what I can remember. One of them was about 202kph. She returned his serve quite well, obviously not his best serves though. All player's serves were very effective except for Jankovic's, which was always weak and vulnerable.

somebody didn't watch any of the matches this weekend...

Novak was playing well but playing that many matches each day and consecutively really wears on you. It was clear he was exhausted and was pretty lucky to come out of this week without losing his singles matches. He looks like he should be fit to tackle 2008.

Great point from Novak in getting his first match point (for those who actually watched it)
