The poll is

1. Marat safin -had a great backhand. He hit the backhand so cleanly, federer who was unbeatable at that time, got beaten. Still think it was the serve and forehand that did a lot of damage that night though.

2. Andre Agassi- had an excellent 2 handed backhand , numerous tussles with the great sampras.

one of the cleanest ball strikers ever in tennis- the 2 handed backhand of agassi. I think its probably the best.

3. Andy murray- as we see here, it was incredible at his peak, especially cross court.

4. Djokovic -although many critical he is a 'pusher', he did have an amazing 2HBH, does an incredible amount of stuff with it. Wicked angles. In terms of longevity it is the best no question.

5. Nadal- his backhand in 2008- was incredible. Got to be right up there. He's got an amazing cross court backhand.

Fastest Rafa Nadal backhand ever? | Coupe Rogers Montreal 2007 semi-final

Not a big fan of the two-hander, but Agassi had the best one in my opinion. A very consistent and powerful stroke.

Wimbledon final 2019
2-2, 12-12, 5-3 13 shot rally

Andrew Castle: "Oh.. that backhand down the line.. Might be the shot...of the decade.. It's an amazing, technically proficient piercing blow..

..Novak Djokovic has three championship points."

Nadal has a nasty cross court kill shot, but he has to set up for it and can't defend or attack serves with it. Murray also has a clean and massive backhand, but he too needs to set up for it otherwise leaks too many errors. Djokovic has the most consistently high-level 2 handed back hand. He can whack returns onto the baseline game after game and he can dig out big cuts at that ball on full stretch deep in ad court. Nadal and Murray don't have those other levels in their backhand.

Murray has insane variety on this BH. His top-spin, slice, CC, DTL, drop shots, and especially his lob, are all world-class shots. He can do anything with it.

I'm talking about being able to use the backhand as a weapon off the opponents serve, and deep in the ad-court on defense. Murray has a nice backhand, but a lot of those shots break down unless he's hitting them from a good court position. Djokovic can turn a full stretch backhand deep in the ad-court into an offensive shot almost routinely. Look at the video that was posted of him here.
