Pistol Pete is and always will be the best overall player to grace a grass court - I mean ...... 7 Wimbledon titles.

To watch him play at the peak of his game was nothing short of inspirational - i just hope he can find some form for this years US Open.

Hi, guys! Althought at the moment I am Andy Roddick's supporter, I will never forget Pete. He was the best, especially at Wimbledon. I saw him for the first time on 2nd july, 1993 when he played the semis at Wimbledon against Boris Becker. On 4th july he won his first title on the grass in London, beating his best friend Jim Courier. At that time I have started to admire him and I feel the same admiration concerning him in the present. I also remember his retirement on the 25th august, 2003. I started to cry when I saw him crying :tears: and the full arena who thanked him for the special years he offered to us, his loyal fans. I will always admire him and remember his fabulous matches against big rivals like Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg and other talented tennis players. I really miss those rivalries.
Do you remember when you saw Pete for the first time? What was your impression about him and his game and when you became his fans?

i became his fans at 95, coz i started to follow tennis when monica came back to the tour, pete was the no.1 by then and i admire his quiet character, and i was lucky enough to meet him at 96 in HK

Hi Pammy, how are you doing, hope fine and in good health - a big welcome to you here.

I think I am the biggest Pete Sampras fan anywhere in the world and I am glad to have you drop by - I know about Pete for a long time - but I became a big fan in the year 2000, when he was playing wimbledon and all that he goes through to win that year - it was just great to watch him - and I have been a fan ever since.

I love all thing tennis, and sports in general - there are other sites for pete, but this site is one of the best, so please stay here with us :angel:
