Last 2 losses for Nadal was against players he dominated. He hadn't lost to Ferrer in 10 years on clay but it happened. Almagro had never beaten Rafa but it happened. Berdych hasn't beaten Nadal in 7 years and 17 tries, so .......

Also both losses were in the QF and he could face Berdych in the QF.

The stars have aligned for Berdych.

Berdych can score a win over a struggling Nadal.

Or, he can lose, giving Nadal confidence and playing him into form, allowing him to win the title and helping to get him back on track for winning the FO. Then while the media fawn over Nadal for such an epic comeback, triumphing over diversity to win the FO as a huge underdog, Berdych can feel proud to have played his part in such an inspiring story, and be among the first to tweet his congratulations.

Wonder which one Berdych will go for.

Berdych won't even make it to the court. He will shart all over himself in the waiting area. Get real

I'd rather bet on Hasi beating him in R3 hahaha.

Any update on Berdych and Brouchard. Let's talk about things that could happen instead of things that will never happen :)

Certainly not a bad spot. Probably the best clay court even for him vs. Rafa, Rafa losing to his pigeons twice in the last month.

Not probable but much more likely than usual.

Well. If Almagro can do it why can't Berdych.

Ferrer and Almagro are both natural clay courters, Berdych is not.

So even though the circumstances are favorable for them meeting in the QF, I still don't think an upset is going to happen. The most likely scenario is that one of the two is going to lose before the QF, probably Berdych.

Berdych isn't a bigger headcase than Mugro.

Even if Berdych was up 6-0 5-0 Match Point...

He would find a way to lose.

Cmon people this is Berdych who never ceases to fold when it matters.

No way! I like Berdych, but he's hopeless against Nadal.
There is every chance that he will literally crap himself before the match and withdraw like in Miami.

Ridiculous. What has any of that shit to do with how players perform on the day? Berdych shat himself silly when faced with the prospect of playing Rafa in Miami. Didn't even turn up for the match

The funny part is that Berdych has all weapons in his arsenal to beat Nadal comfortably. But somehow he turns on his 'clown mode button' every time he plays against Rafito. Although Rafa nowadays is not too convincing I feel that Berdych will find a way to obey his master one more time.
