Of course Rafa is beatable on Clay and Djokovic has done it many times. If you are addressing only RG then that is a different case.

Well, technically, he's right..Nadal isn't unbeatable at RG.
Soderling did it.

Also, on clay, Novak beat him many times after that interview.

He spoke too soon, IMHO.
8 years later, Novak has NOT yet beaten Rafa where it matters most.
I am not de meaning his Masters' wins BUT RG is a different CUP of Tea.
It may happen in 2015 , 9 years after the Inerview.

Well, you have to put in the context first - when that interview took place Nadal already had 1 slam, multiple masters and ~50 weeks as #2 in the world, while Djokovic was top 40 or top 50 player without a single ATP title. Since then he came good on pretty much every tournament out there except RG, but in any case, taking into account the whole performance it's more right than wrong.

Chokeovic is in a league of his own and didn't know what he was saying in 2013

I'm not really asking if he was wrong or right, because obviously he was right in the context that Nadal is/was beatable on clay. that we already knew even THEN because Nadal had lost prior on clay (2005 he lost one match)

but overall I think Djokovic was suggesting that Nadal A) couldn't sustain that level or B) didn't have a truly god-like level on the surface

both of those assumptions were wrong in the end I think we can summarize

No he's not unbeatable on clay as Novak has beaten him but Nadal has proven that it's almost impossible to do it in a best of 5 set format. Even then Novak has had chances and he didn't win. An 0-6 record at the biggest clay court tournament in the world isn't an anomaly and speaks volumes.

Last year he clowned away, this year he was sick + applied wrong tactics.
Those matches (unlike the ones before them) were hardly on Nadal's racket.

Players lacking respect to his opponents and acting like a sore loser who bitches about his opponent after defeat fails to win a RG title after 9 attempts. Karma? A parallelism with some MTF posters as well?

Sorry but this isn't help Novak's case any here. In fact it makes his 0-6 record worse since mentally he couldn't keep it together. Wrong tactics in this year's final? He's play Rafa 40+ times. How on Earth do you play the wrong tactics against someone you've played THAT many times.

Everyone is beatable. Nole loosing to Stan in AO. Federer loosing to Rafa and last year Stahosky. Raaf loosing to Soderling and Noles 2011 Madrid and Rome wins.

When he said this he was young and cocky. In time it didnt work in RG. I think it actually worked against him. As him now if he thinks the same shit. Hell say yes, but track record doesnt side with him.

Nadal was playing the inside out fh DTL to counter Novak taking nadal out wide and then dtl. Novak seemed to be convinced that in this matchup the answer was to take wider cuts, trying to push nadal off the court. However, he should have played shots shallow in the court and mixed them with deep penetrating shots to keep nadal off balance. Djokovic seemed to be obsessed with constantly pushing nadal deep on clay constantly redlining his game while allowing Rafa to moonball and pitch his shot DTL or just await the error.
