What a one sided affair. Herbert basically only survived with his serve. The score is a lot closer than the match. Good performance from roger but wasn’t really tested either. Now onto revenge against goffin

I would say Federer will play minimum another 5 years this Halle open for sure and eventually will break Nadal’s record of a most dominant in a tournament. Note it down.

Solid from Federer. Important that this match was over quickly, those old legs need all the rest they can get.

Goffin will be more difficult though methinks

Two 3 setters in a row and this quick win was exactly what Roger needed.
Forehand looks better than last year.

Federer just too good. After a couple of tough matches, it's nice not to waste energy in the SF.

Such a nice, easy victory after those tough challenges before. Herbert was only saved by his serve from complete destruction.

Federers baseline game seems to be fine, which is promising for Wimbledon. His serve was way better than yesterday, too.

Now get that 102th title, you fucking legend. I just love grass tennis so much. Why can't there be more grass tournaments? Its such a shame.

I know 500 level tournaments can be surprisingly low quality as top players only play a few but even so, this was a joke of a semi. Pierre doesnt seem to have any groundstrokes, certainly not more than 3 per point. He won a grand total of 5 points on Fed's serve

Its not as good as other Halle years (Tsonga-match, RBA-match) but today was a normal day at the Halle-Office.
No idea of a break for his opponent, no idea of a 3rd set, no problems throughout. Good.

Nicely done Roger!!
Herbert's limited baseline game got exposed here.. only his serve made this respectable score and this (his serve) wasnt at his best anyway

Roger played well, without any pressure and with low UEs once again

Go for that Nº10 GOAT!!!! :bounce:

Herbert

Not even the doubles specialist PHH showed up today. Squandered a couple drive volleys he should've never missed. Federer served better than in last two matches, I felt, though the poor return of his opponent could give that impression. The best thing is he didn't waste much energy. No conclusions can be drawn from this match. I am cautiously optimistic. The way Goffin played today, he can prove handful.

Deserved break but such a bad SF match. Hopefully F will be something like their London match, somewhat exciting.

After two tough matches, I am glad that he was able to get the job done in straights, although Herbert wasn't much of a challenge. The final against Goffin will be tougher but I expect Federer to come through in the end and win #102.
