Guga has a very tough draw in Paris but I believe he will come through.

  Guga didn't look like have any luck today. It is so disheartening to see him lost in 3rd set tie break.

Hopefully he will do better in double.

Anyway, he will come back next season and regain his number 1 position!:bounce: :bounce:

you're right Leecal!! I know it's very disappointing, but I'm sure and confident he'll be the best next year!

I saw the pics Leo posts in the other thread from BNP TM doubles final and those pics really make my day!

Guga is like a sun shining on everyone with his brilliant smile. He did not win the match but his smile was brighter than the winners. He is the only player in ATP tour that nobody can find fault with him. Nobody can find any reason to criticize or ridicule him. He is such a gem not just in tennis but in human race.

Tim Henman may not play, Greg Rusedski may still recovering, Yevgeny may retired.......

Will some warmup games before AO may help his ranking before players are seeded?

Norman is behind Guga in entry system (I believe his protective ranking is gone) and since Pete is my second fav I want to bury my head in the sand about his retirement.:)

sorry, leecal. just trying to help out Guga. :)

he usually doesn't play any warm up events before the AO. I wish he would though. He's never done well there which is very surprising.

No need to feel sorry Lily. I really appreciate your help.

May be Guga (if he is not seeded) will get lucky and draw Marat on his 1st round match. :) He has Marat number these days.

I wish Guga plays some warmup to get points and a seed for the Aussie. And then I wouldnt care about who wont play. :p

I would like to see him give it a shot at Sydney.

Looks like your wish come true, hitman!

I am glad that Guga is more competitive in 2003.

Yes, I said Sydney, he will play that same week, but Auckland. Smart. It will show in his Aussie Open performance next year, I bet. :D
