Guga comes back to train after the vacations

Camboriú (SC) - After three weeks of vacation, Gustavo Kuerten initiated in this monday, in Camboriú, Santa Catarina, its preparation for season 2003.

Motivated with the good results of the end of the year, where after passing for a surgery it obtained to recover and to finish 2002 with a heading and three vice-championships, Guga will train fort per four weeks.

Under the command of the Larri technician Steps and to the side of others seven Brazilian tenistas (Andres Sá, Peter Braga, Rodrigo Mount, Márcio Carlsson, Diego Toledo, Pink Alexander Bonatto and Bruno), Guga will pass for an intense period of hours in squares and the gymnastics room.

In this second, the trainings started well early, with the physical part and followed for three hours of beat-ball in square. After a stop for the lunch more hours of physics and exercises in the swimming pool.

I had sufficiently time to rest, I used to advantage my vacations well and now it is to give everything in these weeks in Camboriú to start the well strong year here, "said Guga, that different of the last years will have a good time of preparation for the season that if approaches.

"In the last years, for I to be playing the Master, badly it had time to rest, already it had that to start to train and when it saw already was in the circuit of new. Of this time it goes to give to make a good preparation for 2003 and super I am motivated to come back to the circuit."

The first challenge of Guga in the new year will be in Auckland, in the New Zelândia, from day 6 of January. In the following week, it it follows for Melbourne, in Australia, for the dispute of the first Grand Slam of the season, the Opened one of Australia, from day 13.

This sounds very optimistic! Guga seems very motivated, and I believe he'll have very good results in 2003, many many titles!!!!! GO GUGAAAA!!!!!!!!

Guga comes back to practice after the vacations

Camboriú (SC) - After three weeks of vacation, Gustavo Kuerten got back to practice this Monday, in Camboriú, Santa Catarina, his preparation for the 2003 season.

Motivated by his good results in the end of the year, as he recovered succesfully from surgery and finished the season with a title and three runner-up tournaments, Guga will have tough practice sessions ahead of him, for four weeks.

Oriented by coach Larri Passos, and helped by seven other Brazilian players (André Sá, Pedro Braga, Rodrigo Monte, Márcio Carlsson, Diego Toledo, Alexandre Bonato e Bruno Rosa), Guga will undergo intense periods of court and gym practice.

This Monday, the session started very early, with the gym, followed by three hours of court. After a lunch break, more hours of gym and exercises in the pool.

"I was ready for the start of the pre-season, already. I enjoyed my vacations a lot, and had enough time to rest, and now I need to give it all during these three weeks in Camboriú, so then we head on to a strong start of next season.", said Guga, that will have a strong preparation on the off-season, unlikely the other years.

"In the last years, for I was playing the Masters, I had hardly time to rest, and when I looked the new season was already starting again. This time I got time to get ready and that makes me motivated to go back to the circuit."

Guga´s first chalenge in the new year will be in Auckland, New Zealand, in January the 6th. One week later, he goes to Melbourne, Australia, to play the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, starting in January 13th.
