this was a tough opening match for both. andrey missed some break chances early in the first. zeballos broke in the 4-4 game when and then served out the first set at love. second set andrey broke at love to start but got broken right back. Tiebreaker was just one way traffic.

Grim result, but he's still very young so it's not shocking.

losing to kavcic and zeballos:help:. overrated.
im sure that, like robredo he will be beating them easily in a year.

seriously though, i dont mind players with attitude but i dont like players with big mouths who've accomplished nothing yet.

Tough opening match? Zeballos was a great draw for Rublev.

Anyways, I am glad he lost.

Old superheroic Zeballos is still better on clay than this arrogant douche :superlol:

Didn't he say after the match that he will beat Horacio next year easily? :haha:

Zeballos (40-50 player two years ago) is younger than Wawrinka and with just 135 ATP matches and 150 challenger main draw matches, he has played 450 ATP matches less than Wawrinka, so barring injuries could be around stopping 17-19 y.o teenagers on clay for quite some time, not just in doubles or challengers.

Rublev was a junior playing futures less than a year ago. It's a disgrace he isn't yet competing for slams.

Also, he should behave like a proper milford man, not a 17 year old boy.

He's not overrated by any means, it's just that you and many like you don't really understand what does it mean to be 17 in today's tennis. He's doing as good as he should be so far.
yes he is, he's doing good for 17. but when he makes arrogant comments like he did against tommy he opens himself up to criticism.

Zeballos can be tough to beat in altitude conditions so not really a suprise.
You mean that's why he beat Nadal in Vina del Mar in 2013?
Possible.
