You Vote: Greatest Generation

Which generation is the best in tennis history? It’s a question that sparks endless debate among tennis fans, especially those who have witnessed much of the Open Era, which began in 1968. We’ve narrowed your choices down to four year-end Top 10 lists, one from each of the last four decades: 1974, when a young Jimmy Connors topped the rankings, ahead of Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver; 1985, when Ivan Lendl, John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker ruled; 1992, which starred the Big Three of Jim Courier, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi; or the present day, in which the rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer is the main event. Take a look at the full list of Top 10 players from these years, and the number of major titles each player won, and cast your vote.
