The domination of the Big four is amazing.
Outside Big four, Only Del potro and wawrinka could win grand slams since 2005.

This Wimbledon, only Raonic and Dimitrov are the ones left to break this dominance and win a title.

Federer and djokovic are the favorites as of now.

I really hope we can see a new winner, which would be good for tennis and a hope for all upcoming tennis players.

Federer HAS to be the favourite as of now, but only slightly. I actually enjoy watching all 4 players, but Fed should win this.

Only two players outside the big three have won slams. Del Potro and Safin.

Wawrinka and Murray have never won slams.

But still...since 2004 out of 43 grand slam competitions, there are only 2 outside Big 4.
There are 42 Grand Slam competitions played between Jan 2004 and Wimbledon 2014.

Out of these 42:

- 16 have been won by Federer
- 14 have been won by Nadal
- 6 have been won by Djokovic
- 2 have been won by Murray
- 1 has been won by Gaudio
- 1 has been won by Safin
- 1 has been won by Del Potro
- 1 has been won by Wawrinka

That's 38 to the Big 4 and 4 outside of it since Jan 2004. The 43rd Grand Slam since then takes place now, and it isn't yet settled if it will be Big 4 or not.

Yeah so Nadal's #1 is save and Fed remains at #17.

:aplot:
Well duh :p

If it is a Djokovic-Federer final, then either Nadal will lose #1 if Djokovic wins or will then be 4 slams back if Federer wins, a horrible lose-lose scenario, but I'd root for Djokovic there because the #1 can be re-gained, but 18-14 would be tough.

So ideally, neither make the finals :p

But also I want to see these new guys battle it out for a slam final

I totally agree with you. :)
If is going to be big four final, Djokovic should win this for all the hard work he has done in the last couple of years.

Nadal did not have any injury..he tried to cheat in that final.. And Wawrinka was so much better on that day !!
