Great win for Andrey. Hasn't had any good results recently but has won 3 qualifying matches (only dropping two games to young) and defeats an in form seeded player in round 1.

Now that he has won, he will not be able to play Roland Garros qualifying tomorrow.... As first alt for the MD he needs a player to withdraw by the time the qualifying draw is made or else he cannot participate in the tournament this year. Unfortunate circumstances

Damn this is so unlucky for him:(

I don't get why he didn't play much though. He should play more challenger tours

Everytime he plays in a challenger he loses before the quarterfinals

I'm not too bothered by it. He has to bring his confidence up for Wimbledon and USO, where he's defending 180 pts altogether. That's gonna be a painful fall if he can't mitigate it with good results elsewhere. If he doesn't have the confidence to win matches at RG, then Geneva-break-Prosejov-Halle/Rosmalen is more reasonable

Holy shit, and its the same player (Delpo) who, by withdrawing, allowed Andrey to play Wimbledon last year. Funny how life works sometimes
